Dine at Mandaue: Ramen Yushoken

Constantly seeking for the best ramen in Cebu? For me, it’s at Ramen Yushoken for sure. I remember being completely blown away the first time I tried their Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen

Ramen Yushoken

Ryan Cruz, a certified ramen lover, together with Elbert Cuenca and in partnership with the Ramen Chef Champions, created the Ramen Yushoken Concept in Molito, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. With the concept of bringing the most authentic ramen experience to Manila in mind, Ramen Yushoken was born.

The restaurant hasn’t been in Cebu for long, but it seems that it’s always a busy day for their staff. I was so intrigued so I decided to ask one of the staff members and he said that it's mostly because a lot of people can’t seem to stop craving the Gyoza. I don’t blame them since, to me, their signature Gyoza is the perfect appetizer for the main course, the ramen.

My favorite ramen from their menu is, obviously, the Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen. The broth is thick, infused with collagen (the good stuff) and has this deep and rich pork flavor. You can tell its been handled with care and perfection. The noodles are thick and chewy. Cooked perfectly and al dente, just the way I like it. Topped with a slice of pork, perfectly grilled on one, side brings the whole dish together with an explosion of flavor in your mouth.

Another thing I like to get, as a little treat to myself and whoever I’m eating with, is the Karaage. I believe chicken is truly one of the greatest foods on earth. With Karaage, Japanese cuisine takes fried chicken to the next level. There’s something so heavenly about the fried chicken, mayo and salt combination that I just can’t get enough of.

So I suggest, whenever you crave for a piping hot bowl of good ramen, drop by and satisfy your stomach’s desires. For more information, visit this link.
